Special Disability Notice

SOZO Belize (consulting firm) is owned and operated by Gretchen Smith and SOZO Foundation Belize (non-profit) is the NGO she founded. Ms. Smith is a disabled person (C-PTSD) and lung and hearing problems so we will work to accommodate your special needs to the best of our ability and we ask you to do the same. We rarely hire staff or subcontractors, but if we do, preference is always given to Belizeans with disabilities or those that are marginalized, traumatized or victims of violence.

Additional Note About How You Can Help

Our office was destroyed in Hurricane Lisa so we moved to a work from home methodology. We can meet you in any city or town in Belize and do most meetings online or on whats app. Ms. Smith is located in Hopkins but travels a lot throughout Belize.

One of the things that would help most is if we could find a lawyer to donate their services. Clearly, we also need a web designer to volunteer their time and expertise and an EMDR Therapist as well as other volunteers. Please see Volunteer Link SOZO means saved or healed in Greek.
